I went to the bank at about 11.30 am yesterday having first checked on their website that they were open till 2pm.
I wanted to pay in cash of 1500 euro in €50 notes and did not want to pay 30 notes into the ATM.
There was one teller on duty and l waited in line for some time. When it was my turn the teller spent 8 to 10 minutes working at his computer and maybe counting banknotes, walked to various other places in the office, came back to his position, never called me foward. He then walked out of the bank and never came back.
There were four or five other members of staff walking around the office and they could see that there were about 5 people in line inside and more waiting locked outside the bank and no tellers on duty. After waiting for about ten minutes a lady came to the counter and called me forward. I said l wished to deposit €1500 and she said that money transactions could only take place inside the bank between 08.15 am and 11 am or l could use the ATM. She also said that there was a notice to this effect by the entrance door. I replied that there was no notice of this on the website and that l could not read the notice at the entrance when l was leaving home to visit the bank.
On leaving the bank l checked the entrance for notices, there was a paper hand written notice in Spanish that l could not translate (my fault) and a formal notice in Spanish and English saying that cash transactions could only take place between 08.15 and 11.00 am FOR PEOPLE WITHOUT ACCOUNTS, I have had an account at this branch for 5 years.
In conclusion it seems that the staff in this bank have no respect for their customers.
Lo peor que he encontrado

Got a flight especially from Ireland for 3 days to call into Sabinillas branch to sort out my online banking as advised after 10 phone calls that I needed to drop into branch They never told me I needed an appointment It takes a week to get one A very arrogant man didn't care that I have to try and change my flights and miss work at home Ringing and e mails are a waste Twice they hung up on me while waiting for a reply
Worst I ever encountered
Personal descortés.
Mejor vete a Estepona Sabadell.

I was there yesterday. No one inside. I wanna just ask simple question. No way. I need an appointment. First free appointment next 7 days…
Impolite staff.
Better go to Estepona Sabadell.

Useless! I drove 100 km cancel the insurance policy which they still charge me after selling my house. Only to find a note that they close at 11 in the morning. Of course the website didn’t mention it when checking in the morning. They make it impossible to get in touch with them. Forget the phone it’s impossible to talk to someone. But they take €400 every year automatically from my account. Could not cancel it for 3 years now. Sabadell is most useless service provider on the Costa Del Sol.

Terrible bank could not close bank as unable to make appointment before moving to back to UK. Renewed death insurance without notice. High monthly charges. Unable to use any Sabadel atm towards end of the month. Worst account I have had. Avoid

When we opened accounts there was a 3% rebate on certain direct debits, then conditions were applied, then it was removed and now they charge a minimum €10 a month to look after OUR money (on which they make interest). Sabadell has gone from being the best to the worst. I closed my account and my husband will also be closing his asap.

Happy client for a years I cannot accept what they have done with this bank in 2020. Probably at the local branch they are not responsible for policy changes but at least they could work without this disaffection on their faces. Anyway this branch should be closed because so many ppl close accounts with them
