All in all, if your idea is to practically self confine during pandemic times as was our’s, you will NEVER get bored. Although there are multiple activities one can undertake within a reasonable driving distance, there is no need to go anywhere except for shopping at supermarkets in Los Romanes (2 Km away) or Viñuela (6 Km away) where amongst others Arkwrights specifically offers a wide range of British products. The BBQ was of the portable gas type but plans are in place according to the owners Chris & Claire to fit in a fixed location which will run on charcoal/timber. The garden is arranged in such a way that you can “set up camp” in multiple locations, not only at the wonderful roofed terrace. For keen anglers you’ll be smack in the right place as the Viñuela reservoir (within walking distance or 2 min by car) appeared to hold an infinite supply of black bass in what were highly entertaining fishing sessions for one of my sons and me. Make sure you take some Tasmanian Devils as they went for this lure time and time again! Chris & Claire gave us a very warm welcome and manage to keep the villa absolutely spotless. They were always readily available for any help needed during our 10 day stay last August. We highly recommend Villa Estrella and hope to be able to repeat the same wonderful holiday in the not too distant future.
